Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art focused largely on grappling. It utilizes natural body leverage and proper technique to obtain dominant control on the ground and as a result, provides greater position for submission holds. BJJ has been proven to be an effective method for dealing with bigger and stronger opponents.
At JKS we focus on no gi grappling for the sport of mma and self-defense.
JKS was instumental in bringing grappling to Quebec being the first and only school in Quebec to put on tournaments between the years of 1990 and 2000. JKS continues to be a leader in the sport of grappling in Quebec.
