About JKS Martial Arts

JKS was founded in 1987. The founder, James Monette, has been training since 1968. James Monette began teaching martial arts in 1982 and decided to open a full-time school in 1990. Since then, JKS has grown into the largest and most respected martial arts school on the West Island, teaching by far one of the most effective self-defense martial arts in the world, as well as one of the top teams in Canada in boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, and MMA.
